For Teachers
Teacher’s Fellowship from Gifted Child Society to Attend CONFRATUTE 2011
Confratute is one of the nation’s leading institutes for teacher training in education of the gifted. It is a total immersion, live-in experience offering K-12 teaching strategies that cut across all school activities, curricular areas, grade levels, and groupings.
Every other year the Gifted Child Society offers fellowships for educators to attend this program. Each local district superintendent in New Jersey is invited to nominate one teacher to be considered for this fellowship.
Fellows are selected by the Society based on professional excellence, leadership and regional representation. They spend one week at Confratute at the University of Connecticut. Each Fellow’s training, including meals and room, is included in the full scholarship paid for by the Gifted Child Society.
Society Fellows have become a cadre of leaders who commit themselves to passing along their Confratute training to staff development in their school district and region.
